A three-amino-acid fragment of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone studied for inflammatory signaling.
What it is
The C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH. It carries the anti-inflammatory portion of that hormone without its pigmentation activity.
What the research has examined
Preclinical work has examined intestinal inflammation models and skin inflammation, with attention to NF-kB signaling. Human data is limited.
